Ah, with this book I hit my 2011 Book Challenge! I'm quite pleased with myself! :D Next year I'll aim higher. :)
Now for the book. I have a love/hate relationship with autobiographies. If the authors are not careful they can come off self-centered and egotistical. Rob Lowe did not to me. To anyone who loved the 80s "Brat Pack" and "The Outsiders" this is a very quick, easy and entertaining read. I loved how much time he spent on filming "The Outsiders" and how much the movie meant to him. It was my all time favorite movie back in the 80s and was fun to read about my favorite actors at that time. I never saw him in the West Wing so that part of the book was a bit dry for me but he never harps on an area of his life for long so the book stays fast paced. While you won't get any earth-shattering secrets, it gives a great look into the life of a teen heartthrob who actually managed to last in Hollywood. I really enjoyed it.
